Lungbloom — Privacy policy

In short: Lungbloom is free, with no ads and no tracking. A free account is required. Your quit data is on your device and, while backup is on, encrypted on our server.
What we store
Everything you enter (what you quit, amounts, cost, quit date, reasons, cravings, slips and check-ins) is stored on your device. If you sign in and keep "Back up my progress" on, a copy is also stored, encrypted, on our server in the EU so you can restore it on a new phone.
Account
An account needs only your email address (or Google / Apple sign-in). It stores: your email, a nickname, an optional profile photo, your email settings, the encrypted backup, and for the quit buddy the progress card you choose to share (quit day, streak, cravings resisted and, if you allow it, money saved) and the cheers you send or receive. For the weekly progress email we keep your latest days free, money saved and cravings resisted. Emails are sent through our email provider, Aegean Engine.
Health information
Your smoking or vaping history can count as health data. With backup off it never leaves your device. With backup on, it is stored encrypted on our server only to restore it for you; buddies only see the card fields you share. The Apple Watch app syncs directly between your iPhone and watch. If you connect Apple Health or Health Connect, the app reads your steps, sleep and resting heart rate on your device only, to show how they changed since you quit, and saves your breathing exercises as mindful minutes. This data is never sent to our server, shared or used for advertising, and you can disconnect at any time.
Network requests
The app may check our server for app updates. This request contains no personal data; your IP address is used only to deliver the response and to prevent abuse, and is not stored.
Notifications
Reminders are scheduled on your device. No push service or notification account is used.
Website signup
If you leave your email on lungbloom.com to hear about the launch, we store that address, your language and the signup date. We use it only to email you once when the app is available, then delete it, and in any case within 12 months. It creates no account. The website uses no cookies, analytics or trackers. To be removed sooner, contact us at the address below.
Third parties
We use no analytics, advertising or tracking SDKs and we do not sell or share data. Links to quitlines and sources open in your browser and are covered by those sites’ own policies.
Your rights (GDPR / KVKK)
You can export your data (Settings → Export my data) and delete it on this phone (Settings → Delete all data). Deleting your account (Settings → Account → Delete account) erases it from our server at once, including the backup, photo, buddy links and cheers. Age
The app is intended for adults (18+) who want to stop using nicotine.
Changes
If this policy changes, we will update the date above and describe the change in the app.
